Student Speaker: Jamie Nicole Hollins '17

Jamie Nicole Hollins is an English Literature major who serves as December's student speaker. Hollins transferred to Mount Mary and felt compelled to push her learning. She joined Arches, the student newspaper, and recognized how the small, tight-knit classes at Mount Mary encouraged her to participate and accept moments of vulnerability.

She has applied to Mount Mary's Masters of English program and wants to teach at the collegiate level, instilling the same passion and empowerment unto others as she received in her journey.

"The reason why I chose Mount Mary, and continue to choose Mount Mary, is because the creative ingenuity that the staff and faculty work so hard to instill in our community of women goes unmatched."
